Real Wedding: Andrea and Leo

Jun 01, 2015

Congratulations to one of our very own at LVL for getting hitched! Below Andrea shares her memories of her classic purple, black and white Rancho Bernardo Inn Wedding. As a wedding planner I have been to a ton of weddings! So when I became engaged, after 7 years of dating, I knew exactly what I wanted for the big day! I am a huge fan of simplicity and clean lines and I am completely obsessed with black and white. I love a balance between feminine and masculine touches and I really wanted everything to be classic but also modern.

Having been to several wedding venues in Orange County, I really wanted to venture out and choose a venue I had never been to before. Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego was my hidden gem – upscale, yet comfortable and casual. Upon booking my venue, I began tackling my awesome vendor team.  I had previously worked with Austin O’Brien Photography and had always remembered there was something special about him! He is really great at capturing stunning bridal portraits yet he is fun and keeps everyone relaxed and laughing. My florist was my best friends mother, Denylle Rossman-Mixer. She has been a florist for years and it was so special to have her a part of my wedding day. Chad Mackenzie of Mavericks Productions (and a friend from high school) captured the day by creating an an awesome music video. Our peanut butter and chocolate turtle cake provided by A Wish and Whisk  was seriously a no-brainer, and I knew she would create the most perfect and yummy cake.

We all know that if you don’t feel pretty then it shows, so I enlisted Flawless Faces to beautify myself and the ladies. My family is obsessed with live music so we brought on Anthony Garcia, a flamenco guitarist, to play music for our ceremony. Concepts Event Design was responsible for our awesome seamless dance floor, chiavari chairs and pretty linens.

The details of an event are very important to me. It’s what makes a wedding or an event memorable and special. I really love coffee and I wanted it to play into the theme of my wedding day. We used coffee beans in our candles during cocktail hour, we sprinkled coffee beans throughout the escort cards and we brought in a coffee art company to create special lattes for our guests towards the end of the evening. Our wedding favors were packages of coffee beans from One Hope Weddings that supports Alzheimer’s Disease, a cause very close to my heart.

The day was flawlessly executed by my friend and former boss, Kerri Hatter of LVL Weddings and Events. I know it’s not easy to do your job and constantly have to tell the Bride to relax and that you have got it!My wedding was absolutely perfect and I could not have envisioned anything better! I married my best friend surrounded by my closest friends and family – what more could a girl want!

xo,
Andrea
