This wedding was incredibly special to me because Shea and I have known each other since we were in high school. We have one of those friendships that no matter where life takes us the moment we see each other or hop on a phone call we are right back to the same girls who played sad song wine night while living together in Chicago. I recently had a chance to visit with Brad and Shea in their new home in Louisville and I could see happiness all around. They really do embody the definition of marriage. They make each other light up when the other walks in the room, they have their own little love language that I still am not able to decipher and they make each other laugh so hard they cry. I left my visit with them inspired by their love for one another and I could not be happier for my two friends who have found one another.

What do you get when you combine true love, southern hospitality, home made details, handcrafted invitations by Paper by Shea (The bride herself) and a super talented string band. Shea and Brad’s Lowcountry wedding! The weekend started off with a BBQ style rehearsal dinner and ended with a pub crawl throughout downtown Charleston. All the adorable details and breathtaking spaces were captured by Hyer Images and we loved every intimate detail of their simply beautiful destination wedding. The signature cocktails, tea lights in mason jars and great company made for an incredible night under the stars.
