Details were imperative and they wanted lots of lace and antiques! Lace… was everywhere… from her dress, shoes, lace wrapped candles, cake, table cloth runners… to the old fashioned program fans. Antiques included mission-style wood head tables, antique desks for the guest book and cake as well as an ornate antique iron gate for table seating cards provided by Found. Their wedding invitation was a new design by William Arther with a cut lace pocket and edge. Kelly’s dress was a lacy slim fitting gown with a short lace applique bolero designed by Vera Wang.
Bridesmaids’ dresses were individually chosen by each of the 7 girls. Since they were coming from different parts of the country and fittings would be difficult to arrange, swatches were sent to each — and they were asked to find a dress in their style and liking. The colors were watermelon for the 5 bridesmaids and poppy red for Kelly’s twin sisters — colors inspired by Portuguese dresses that Kelly loved.
Between the amazing florals designed by Art with Nature and the 5 layered cake artistically designed to order by A Wish and a Whisk with lace textures, succulents and flowers this wedding was a dream come true. All captured by the talented team of Sargeant Creative.
