Your wedding ring is not just a pretty piece of jewelry, but a symbol of love, commitment and eternity to your spouse. If you’ve met with any of our planners, there are some pretty great stories behind all that bling! We recently interviewed Team LVL about the history of their rings, engagement stories and all.
Lindsay:
My ring holds special meaning as it was my husband’s mothers ring. Upon giving me the ring he told me I could take the diamond and make a new ring. There was a brief moment when I considered this and then quickly realized it was the perfect ring for me. Both of our mothers have passed and were not able to be at our wedding so the ring holds significant meaning to both of us.
Carie:
What do I love most about my ring? The thought and effort he put into creating something unique that no one else had is so special to me. He knows me so well and came up with a design that fit me perfectly!
Amy:
My engagement was a total surprise so I did not have any part of ring selection. I love that my ring has three stones that represent past, present and future. I had a plain silver band until my 10 year anniversary when I received the two diamond anniversary bands that I wear on each side of my wedding ring
Ashley:
We were together for 10 years before we got married (long distance for a lot of the time, at one point living in completely different countries). When he proposed, it came as no shock to anyone. It was like, it’s about time! But that day itself, I was surprised and cried uncontrollably.
Emily:
Both my wedding ring and my anniversary band were made by my husband’s aunt who is a goldsmith. I never did a wedding band since my engagement ring has the look of two bands already. I received my anniversary band during our 10 year anniversary trip to Paris. Very romantic 🙂
Kaitie:
What do I love most about my ring? I love that it is simple, but has a unique shape that sets it apart and gives it personality!
Cherie:
My husband and I never talked about rings when we were dating, but I am sure he overheard me talking to my friends about what I wanted (I promise I was not purposefully talking loud), because he got me exactly what I had dreamed of.
Courtney:
What do I love most about my ring? I love the way it sparkles and that it was picked out by my husband. The most romantic day of my life so far!
Kerri:
My husband flew to Vienna, Austria for 12 hours to give me the ring. I was on a girls trip with my mom and my sister and as I was walking through the streets of Vienna. He suddenly walked towards me, and before I even knew what was going on, he was down on his knee asking me to marry him! No luggage, just a carry-on bag and a ring in his pocket.
Jen:
The surrounding diamonds that encircle the center stone are all family heirloom diamonds from 4 generations on both sides of our families. He gathered the diamonds from our mothers over the course of one year to make sure the coloring and sizing would all match up. The main stone in the center is new and meant to symbolize our new marriage with surrounding stones symbolizing the marriages of our families holding ours together.
