Christie and Marlon met in Houston while working for Nasa. Christie grew up in Huntington Beach and Marlon’s roots are in Detroit so they wanted to create a celebration that would incorporate both families. They hosted their wedding reception at The Harborside Pavilion because it was the perfect balance between classic ballroom and beach romance. The wedding color palette they chose was classic red, black and white. I have to say my two highlights of the evening were DJ Casey getting all the guests on the dance floor with her magic tunes and having a film crew during the cake cutting. Christie and Marlon’s Fly Me to the Moon wedding cake was featured on We TV’s Amazing Wedding Cakes, Christi & Marlon’s incredible cake was created by the fabulously talented Christopher Garren’s Let Them Eat Cake.
