Stephanie and Andy had a vision of a modern wedding with clean design with pops of unconventional additions. The hangar at Planes of Fame was the perfect backdrop for this DIY Wedding plus it also incorporated Andy’s love of planes being the talented aerospace engineer that he is.
Although it may seem daunting to some brides, Stephanie was excited to create the design so we helped her pull it all together. She actually dreamt up their ceremony backdrop while she was running at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. She imagined it to be similar to a pipe organ found in a church. Andy and some good friends engineered the backdrop out of PVC pipe and paint.
One of our favorite parts of their wedding was the unity canvas. Stephanie and Andy love art so this was the perfect way to show their love and display it in our home for years to come.
