I Do {How To’s}: The Toasting Tent

We get super excited to share unique guest book alternative ideas with you! Are you looking for a fun and creative way to entertain your guests? We adore photo booths and you can never go wrong adding one to your wedding day. Guests love them and they provide not only entertainment but a fun way for you to get photos of your guests having a blast.

What do you get when you combine a photo booth with the abilities of a professional video team? The Toasting Tent! The Toasting Tent is a space similar to a large photo booth where anyone can leave a video message to the bride and groom. The best part is it captures their sentiments far better than pen to paper.

The tent will typically stay at your wedding for about three hours (available longer, if you would like). The best part – a few weeks later, you end up with a 3-5 minute film perfectly edited to sum up the comments of the day. Also included with your package is all the raw footage from the evening. If you are looking for the newest thing to add some fun to your wedding day, this is it!

Real Wedding: Jami and Dan

I’m so happy to share this beautiful wedding with you. It is a huge compliment when we get to be a part of an industry friend’s big day. Jami & Dan both worked for 24 Carrots Catering and Events, when it came to celebrate their union, they chose the one and only Chuck Jones Center for Creativity.

On a perfect sunny day, Jami and Dan’s wedding was pretty, fun and a celebration so full of love. Their vision was modern elegance, and they knew all they had to do was trust their floral designer, the uber talented Larrissa of Inviting Occasion, to exceed their expectations! Of course she did, the altar installation was jaw dropping and the table decor absolutely stunning. Jami’s vision of a canopy of string lights was brought to life by the team at The Event Company. Denny White delighted the guests as they enjoyed some of the couple’s favorite selections from 24 Carrots. The laughs, tears and gorgeous details were captured by Lori of The Purple Tree Photography.

Jami and Dan have since relocated to Northern California and team LVL misses them! Congratulations you love birds and we wish you the best on your new adventures.

Real Wedding: Melissa and Ian – featured on Style Unveiled

I am completely in love with Palm Desert destination weddings and this wedding is an example why. Melissa & Ian are a super sweet couple from Seattle who shared an amazing weekend in the sun at Miramonte Resort & Spa with their friends and family. On a picture perfect Fall evening, they said “I do”, sabered champagne, shared touching speeches and then danced the night away. Oh yes, I said sabered. Bride, Melissa’s family has a tradition to saber a bottle of champagne to start off a celebration. Sister and maid of honor Darcy had the honor of doing so on Melissa’s wedding day, an amazing way to start the party!

LVL’s WEB showcase at the Waterfront Hilton, Huntington Beach

LVL had the wonderful opportunity to dress up the WEB (Waterfront Event Boutique) for the entire month of May! Thanks to Next Exit Photography, you can view all the details here if you don’t have a chance to check it out for yourself over before June hits. Huge thanks to Adrienne of The Bloom of Time for donating a new fresh centerpiece weekly, to Signature Party Rentals for the ghost chairs, glassware, dishes and silverware, to Napa Valley Linens for the summery linen and complementing pillows, and to the Hollywood Candy Girls for bringing a delicious pop of color to the whole space. We loved watching our modern, summer comfort tablescape come to life. Big thanks to Emily at the Waterfront Hilton Huntington Beach, who invited us in to take over!

With a mutual love for animals, Scrabble, vintage and nature, our Veterinarian duo got married at one of our favorite and most unique venues, Rancho Las Lomas. Braedon Photography captured the day, including the couple’s dogs and unique stairway ceremony (this part of Rancho had never been used for a ceremony before Andrea and Hays!) Together with stunning vintage pieces from Found Vintage Rentals and Simply Layered‘s cake mimicking the bride’s dress, it all made for a gorgeous and romantic wedding underneath the lush trees. Real Wedding: Carol & Tom

Carol & Tom got married in the quaint little church in Tiburon, Old St. Hilary’s. This is the exact same church that Carol’s parents got married in. With this church holding a special place in their hearts and fortunate enough to have both her parents by her side, there was not a dry eye in house.

The reception took place at the San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, California. This gorgeous outdoor property overlooks surrounding luscious green Marin mountains. This wedding was truly a reflection of who Carol & Tom are as a couple. These foodies, shared their love for oysters during the cocktail hour with a HOG Island Oyster bar. Freshly shucked oysters from the best oyster company in the bay area? Yes please! They gave all their guests orange and blue shades, in their favorite style of sunglasses, encouraging guests to wear them during the reception. Finishing the night with a love for music, fun, and a packed dance floor, compliments of DJ Stan.

Real Wedding: Kira and Matt

This super sweet New York based couple decided to fly cross country to get married in sunny Southern California at the Surf & Sand Resort. Their cheery hot pink and yellow floral palette by Inviting Occasion was excellent for this gorgeous day by the beach, which was all captured by Jim Kennedy Photographers. Since we are all about the details, we just had to add in that the special cake from A Wish and A Whisk was personalized based off of Kira and Matt’s engagement shoot. To add an even more perfect touch to the evening, groom Matt wrote and performed a song for his beautiful bride Kira, which can be heard in their fantastic video by Hoo Films below!

One of the first things that a couple getting married has to decide on are their guests. How many will they have, and how many households will they be sending invitations to? Although snail mail typically falls by the wayside when people reach out to contact one another, it is the way to go when announcing your wedding. But since it is no longer typical to have everyone’s addresses handy, Postable can become a bride (or helpful groom’s) best friend.

Postable is a great way to accumulate everyone’s address and information, with very little effort on your part (perfect for the bride who already has a ton on her plate and no time to call everyone for their most accurate address.) It is a safe and secure website that you can sign up for in less than a minute and they create a custom address that you can email, facebook or even tweet to all your family and friends. The best part? They write in the rest and you come back to a full and updated address book you can access anywhere.
